Brí Jandusu – Uhrineves in Prague. Dana Skardova is the chiormistress. As the chior began in 1985 the year 2005 brings the 20th anniversary of its foundation. The chior has a very good reputation to which a list of success and acclaim over the years bare witness. In its present form the chior has a 50 member concert chior and a 30 member childrens chior. The chior hold intensive training sessions 3 times yearly, attends competitions and festivals at home and abroad and gives concerts for schools. The chior has recorded 2 cassettes and a CD and, as part of celebrations of its 20th anniversary will record a new profile CD. The Chior Jiskricka has acheived noted success at competitions at home and abroad. One special acclaim was for the performance of the childrens opera BRUNDIBAR by Hans Krasy which our children performed in Berlin and later in Terezin, where Hans Krasy lived during the war. The opera was also performed in English during a tour in London and in Holland. Very good cooperation has also been with the chior P. Cornelia from Mainz with whom the chior performed as an international chior. Another sign of the quality of our chior was shown when 7 members were chosen through auditions to appear in the musical show – The Snow Queen. A list of recent awards are as follows: 2002 Silver medal at the International Chior Festival in Olomouc 2003 Participation at the International Festival in Most Gold Ribbon at the Childrens Chior Competition in Prague Silver Ribbon at the International Festival of Advent and Christmas Music 2004 Participation at the Gala Event in the Vinohrady Theatre Silver medal at the National Competition of Childrens Chiors in Novy Jicin The chior is performing Zimni Pohadku by Josefa Boháče a Lenky Mochnáčové, which is being received with much acclaim. The final concert of 2004 of advent music was staged on the historic gallery of the Prague National Museum and dedicated to parents and sponsors.
